HISTORY

KITHOOD

Daffodilkit was born to a pair of cats who probably shouldn't have been together. They had no actual love for each other and were mates out of obligation. They were fairly absent and neglectful of their Daf and her littermates and avoided having to deal with them as much as they possibly could without the rest of the cats questioning their decision to even have kits. Daf spent most of her time raising her siblings, doing her best to keep everyone safe.

APPRENTICESHIP 

Her mentor was pretty nice, she worked hard in an attempt to impress her now more neglectful parents. The older her entire litter got the more absent their parents got until one day their father was found dead and their mother was nowhere to be seen. It was obvious her mother had killed her dad but no one ever really figured out why.

WARRIORHOOD

A moon or two later she was made a warrior, receiving the name Daffodildawn. That's when she meets Mintpelt. They grew up alongside each other but never really formerly interacted. Suddenly Daf finds herself falling hopelessly in love with Mint. Every interaction they have she finds herself thinking of it for days after. They kept ending up in situations that put them together, and finally, after moons of obsessing over Mint, Daf confesses.

They eventually get together either sooner or later and after a bit, they decide they want kits and find a tom, one of them getting pregnant and giving birth to a single kitten. They name the kit Daykit, and watch as she grows. As she's their only kit they probably spoiled her a bit, always watching over her closely in her kittenhood and apprenticeship.

They eased back a bit when she became a warrior and proved herself to be reliable and trustworthy. It stayed that way for quite a while until Daywhisper ended up pregnant. She didn't have a mate and no tom ever showed up when the kits were born, meaning he was an outsider. I imagine Daf and Mint probably voiced their opinions and concerns to Day once or twice but she refused to listen. When the kits are born, Day reveals that both kits have different fathers, and again voice their concerns and worries, but they fall on deaf ears.

Mint and Daf watched her raise the kits alone, Day refusing any offers to help unless she needed it. They probably were just relieved that she was staying in camp and in Windclan. They watched their grandkids grow into apprentices nearing warriorhood, when Day finds out that she is expecting again. They find out it's a tom from Windclan this time and are relieved that she seems to have broken up with her outsider husband, but find out she has not when Whiteflame (The father of Day's second litter) finds out about her outsider mate and makes her choose between Crow or himself and once more have to voice their concerns maybe Day will listen this time.
